Action for ASD - Burnley
I would just like to thank Debra Brown for delivering personal development workshops for Action for ASD.
Action for ASD is a registered charity working with children and adults affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The Phoenix Project is a support group for adults with Aspergers syndrome. One of the aims of the Phoenix Project is to help individuals with Aspergers Syndrome to feel confident about themselves and to help build self esteem. After working with adults with Aspergers Syndrome we realised that what many adults in the group had in common was low self esteem and a lack of confidence.
I contacted Debra after going on to the Global Hugs website and asked Debra if she would be interested in delivering her personal development workshops. Debra arranged to visit me and provided a quick, prompt and professional service. Soon after, Debra tailored a set of 2 hour workshops delivered over a period of four weeks. The weekly personal development workshops were delivered to six vulnerable adults with Aspergers Syndrome and the package was designed to specifically meet their needs.
Debra used various methods of delivery including the use of flip chart, group discussions, individual exercises, handouts, video clips, visualisation and self-reflection. Debra provided the tgroup with excellent tools to help the group build their confidence and help to control their emotional states. Debra delivered the training according to our client group’s needs.
Action for ASD would like to thank Debra for her quality time and for sharing her knowledge with us.
